Man United's Amorim refuses to clarify 'time and money' claim
"if we have to play a perfect 3-4-3, we need to spend a lot of money and we need time."
"I'm starting to understand that that is not going to happen. So, maybe I have to adapt."
"If you look at our squad, I think it's impossible for someone to leave," he said. "They need to talk with [director of football] Jason [Wilcox]."
Ruben Amorim says implementing a perfect 3-4-3 at Manchester United requires significant time and money and he now accepts that may not be possible in the short term. He confirmed there are "no conversations" about January signings and repeatedly declined to expand on or regret his earlier comments. He said he may have to adapt his approach and emphasized focus on the upcoming Leeds game. United enter the trip short of options with eight first-team players missing through injury and international call-ups. Amorim insisted the squad cannot sustain further departures and referred transfer matters to director of football Jason Wilcox. The club spent £200 million in the summer on forwards Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.
