Manchester United make progress in Ederson pursuit - Soccer News
Manchester United are in talks with Atalanta over signing Ederson, with no formal offer made as of Friday morning but one potentially arriving quickly. Negotiations with Ederson’s representatives focus on personal terms for a five-year contract. United view the 26-year-old Brazilian as a replacement for Casemiro, who has already played his final match for the club and will not be included for the season’s last matchday at Brighton. Ederson left Corinthians for Salernitana in January 2022 for €6.5 million, then moved to Atalanta the next summer for €22.9 million. This season he has made 41 appearances for Atalanta across all competitions and could play once more against Fiorentina in Serie A’s final round.
"No formal offer has been made as of yet, but one could be submitted very quickly. At this point, United are in discussions with the player's representatives over personal terms for a five-year contract that is being prepared."
