Nottingham Forest boss Dyche addresses Elliott Anderson rumours amid talk of 100m valuation
""It is nothing to do with me, it is the powers that be," Dyche said ahead of Forest's meeting with Liverpool on Saturday. "They run the club and the financial side. I'm sure they will ask my opinion about the situation, if it is needed - not just about him but about all the players here. "He is a good player. He has got everything in front of him. I have spoken to him about what I call the nuts and bolts of his performances."
"Anderson joined Forest in a £35million move from Newcastle United, who sold their academy product in order to comply with PSR regulations, in July last year. While the transfer was a painful one for Anderson and his boyhood club, it has enabled him to get regular football at Forest, having been behind the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali and Joelinton in the Newcastle midfield pecking order."
Elliot Anderson moved from Newcastle United to Nottingham Forest in July for £35million after Newcastle sold him to comply with PSR rules. Regular first-team football at Forest has accelerated his development and helped him earn a place in the England squad. Reported interest from Manchester United and a potential return to Newcastle has increased valuation talk, with figures reported around £100million. Nottingham Forest have endured a difficult start to 2025-26 and managerial changes, and manager Sean Dyche has left transfer and financial decisions to the club hierarchy while praising Anderson's progress.
