Marcus Rashford claimed there had been an "inconsistent environment for a very long time" at Manchester United. That claim should not be used as an excuse for his struggles; personal application, running and performance levels better explain individual form. Rashford was ostracised by Ruben Amorim after the Portuguese coach took over in November 2024. He moved on loan to Aston Villa in January and later joined Barcelona. At Barcelona he leads the team for goal involvements in all competitions with seven (three goals, four assists), and has created 18 chances, second only to Pedri (24).
