Ruben Amorim: the damning stats that show he may not be the right man for Manchester United
Briefly

Manchester United drew 1-1 at Fulham after Rodrigo Muniz's own goal gave United the lead and Emile Smith Rowe equalised off the bench. Bruno Fernandes missed a first-half penalty by blazing it over the bar. United invested almost £200million on attacking signings including Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko yet continued to lack creativity. The team managed just 10 shots on target across two matches versus Arsenal and Fulham and scored only one goal, which was an opponent's own goal. Matheus Cunha had two close chances, one hitting the post and another superbly saved by Bernd Leno. Ruben Amorim has overseen 29 Premier League games with seven wins, a 24.1% win rate, with most victories against sides now relegated.
Despite some heavy investment over the summer with United spending almost £200million on improving their attacking options with Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko, they still lack creativity going forward. They have managed just 10 shots on target across two games against Arsenal and Fulham - an average of roughly one every 18 minutes - and mustered just one goal.
Amorim's first game in charge of United after leaving Sporting CP for Old Trafford came at Ipswich on November 24 last year. He has presided over 29 games in the Premier League and won just SEVEN, a win ratio of 24.1 per cent. Of those seven, only four have come against teams in this season's Premier League. Three came against Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester, all of whom were relegated.
