Andrew Greene resigned from the ABC following allegations that he filed reporting without disclosing travel paid for by a defence contractor. The ABC confirmed it was investigating whether Greene reported on German shipbuilder ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems after travelling to Germany courtesy of the company, which sought Australian navy contracts. An internal email from Canberra bureau chief David Lipson informed staff of Greene's resignation and reiterated the ABC's commitment to editorial policies.
