Dr. Fritz Baumgartner is a cardiothoracic surgeon and medical ethics scholar based in Los Angeles. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in Biology and earned his MD at UCLA. His career includes serving as Acting Head of the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he handled complex surgical cases. He has a strong focus on education, training residents and founding the Surgery 101 Technical Skills Boot Camp. His academic interests center on the Hippocratic Oath and advocating for a patient-first approach in medicine.
