Perrie Edwards discusses her experiences with two miscarriages before and after the birth of her son, Axel. Her first miscarriage occurred in the first trimester, leaving her confused during a doctor's appointment. She describes her experience with Axel as one of the happiest times of her life. Edwards shares that while pregnant again during her Little Mix tour, she experienced heavy bleeding but continued to perform, believing it was merely a blood clot. Tragically, she suffered a second miscarriage at 24 weeks after returning from a trip to Portugal with her fiancé.
"I remember going in to see my gynecologist with the reports and I was like, 'can you just explain to me? So, there was no baby?'"
"I just love carrying babies," Edwards said, reflecting on her 'perfect' pregnancy with Axel.
"Every night before a show, I kept bleeding," Edwards revealed. "I was heavily bleeding, and I remember sitting, thinking, 'This is it. I've lost the baby. It's happening.'"
"When you birth something that's just half of you and half of them, it's like, this magical being, isn't it?" she continued.
