Keshad Johnson's Summer League slam brings back memories for San Leandro alum
Briefly

Keshad Johnson demonstrated his skills during Miami's Summer League opener, connecting with point guard Kira Lewis for a dunk. Known for his athleticism, Johnson has a rich high school and collegiate background. He aims to expand his game beyond athleticism, focusing on improving his shooting, passing, and on-court awareness. In the Summer League game, he recorded nine points and nine rebounds. Coach Eric Glass noted Johnson's leadership and toughness as essential qualities that contribute to his team.
"I've been in that position plenty of times, so I knew that if I just came down the middle, it was gonna open up," Johnson told the Bay Area News Group.
"I got an outlet pass, took a couple of dribbles down and took off just inside the lane and dunked it," Johnson remembered.
"I've been working on my jumper a lot," Johnson said, before adding, "And for other skills, how to screen and how to get off of screens faster, and passing and making the right reads."
"He's one of our vocal leaders, he's one of our toughest kids, and he takes pride in what he does," coach Eric Glass stated.
