With Quinn Ewers set for second start, Dolphins try to facilitate things for the rookie
""It would be a lot better if it was on the rookie quarterback, but I don't think it was,""
""For him to start it fast in the first half and then respond in the fourth quarter, I think shows a lot of his character. And it'll be interesting to see how the team can respond with him after that performance for next week. So, excited to bank reps with him and see how he continues to progress, for sure.""
""Starting with myself, I think there's definitely a couple of plays I wish I could have had back in the run game that would have helped us, for starters,""
""We have to make all those plays go in the run game to help our quarterback out.""
Quinn Ewers is slated to make his second start after completing 20 of 30 passes for 260 yards with two interceptions in his first start. The Miami Dolphins lost 45-21 to the Bengals after unraveling in the second half, while the defense allowed a season-high in points and 389 total yards. The run game produced a 48-yard touchdown by De'Von Achane but was otherwise stymied. The offensive line did not allow a sack. The team returns home to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and teammates urged feeding Achane more to help sustain drives and protect Ewers.
