The Miami Dolphins offseason presents challenges, particularly within the cornerback unit. With the trade of elite cornerback Jalen Ramsey and the release of Kendall Fuller, the team did not secure high-priced free agents or early draft help. Coaches emphasized their excitement about the current roster, including returning players like Kader Kohou and promising newcomer Jason Marshall. Meanwhile, the coaching staff aims to develop existing talent while remaining open to signing additional veteran cornerbacks to strengthen the squad further.
I'll leave my personal feelings about the whole thing in house, but I'll answer it this way: When Jalen was here, he was an awesome teammate. I learned a bunch from him as a coach. Our players learned a bunch from him as a teammate. He showed up every day and put it in all the work needed to get the best out of him and his teammates. It was a lot of fun coaching him. However that shakes out between them, I'll leave that for them to speak on.
I'm excited about the guys that we have here. Obviously, they're doing a really good job, working really hard. ... I feel really confident in those guys' ability to go out and execute.
They all have a chip and they want to prove themselves, and there's no greater motivator than that as a coach.
