In the sixth, Ronald Acuna Jr. reached third on a roller, Michael Harris advanced, Matt Olson drove in Acuna, and Albies added an RBI single to make it 5-1. In the sixth, Dom Smith hit a three-run homer after a 12-pitch at-bat against Jansen Junk, extending the lead to 8-1. Sale finished seven innings allowing one run with seven strikeouts and was set for his first career win vs. Miami.
