Actor Aaron Paul Moved His Family from LA to Paris-'We're Living the European Lifestyle, and It's a Dream'
"I don't really do the hostel route now, but I recommend the hostel route at least once in your life. I always had a great time,"
"But I love traveling. I always say traveling is the most important thing you can do in life. It is so eye-opening. It expands your mind. It's so important just to see how other people live,"
"We have always dreamt of doing a year abroad. Specifically in Paris. Love the food, the history, the people. Every time I came to Paris, I never wanted to leave. We wanted our kids to learn another language and be surrounded by another culture. It was very important to us,"
Aaron Paul grew up with limited money but a lot of love as the son of a Baptist preacher in Idaho and moved frequently. He relocated to Los Angeles at 17 to pursue acting and used early earnings from commercials and music videos to fund travel. He recommends trying hostels at least once and considers travel the most important activity for expanding the mind and understanding other people. After Los Angeles wildfires, he and his wife sold their home and moved their two children to Paris for a year abroad to learn language and experience another culture. The family has already taken a short train trip to London and is navigating French public and private schooling options.
