Shaun Gill, a track and field Olympian from Belize, has struggled to find an engineering job since graduating in May 2024. His Olympic experience, particularly waving his country's flag at the Paris Olympics, gained viral attention. However, behind the scenes, he worked diligently to balance job applications and interviews with his athletic commitments. Over the past year, he has applied for around 300 jobs, primarily in engineering, but has faced challenges due to his immigration status and lack of job offers despite multiple interviews.

Despite applying to about 300 jobs over the past year, the immigration challenges and my training for the Olympics have made it difficult to secure employment.
