Co Antrim crash victim had served time for knocking down and killing pedestrian, and killing his uncle with an iron bar

Gerard Gaskin, a 43-year-old man, has been named as the victim of a fatal road crash occurring near Nutts Corner in Co Antrim. He had a prior conviction for causing the death of Patrick Hanna due to dangerous driving, resulting in his imprisonment in January 1999. Gaskin's history included another serious offense for which he had been jailed alongside his brother for the killing of their uncle with an iron bar.
