Floods from cloudbursts and monsoon rains have claimed at least 176 lives in Pakistan and India, with ongoing rescue attempts for many missing individuals. In Chositi village, near a pilgrimage site, at least 60 fatalities were reported, and around 300 people were rescued. The region is particularly vulnerable to flooding due to its geography. Over 110 deaths occurred in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with additional fatalities in surrounding areas, including seven in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Local officials continue to coordinate rescue efforts in the face of ongoing natural disasters.
