The Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) removed 23 male foreign nationals from the State under EU Removal and Exclusion Orders barring re-entry for ten years. All individuals departed Dublin earlier today on a chartered flight to Romania. The men, aged from their early 20s to late 40s, were serving prison sentences in this jurisdiction for offences including drugs, assaults, thefts, burglaries, frauds and sexual offences. Four of the men are registered sex offenders. An Garda Síochána continues to work closely with the Department of Justice in implementing immigration policy.
