Gardai investigating after six Dublin businesses broken into in one night
"Another premises that had a reported break-in was Goats Gruff, which serves drive-through coffee, wood-fired sandwiches, and pizzas, located in the heart of the Strawberry Beds. "Honestly, lads, breaking into small family businesses? Absolutely pathetic," they said. "Luckily, nobody was hurt and we have the area well covered with CCTV. "There's a lot of footage so far, and I think a lot more will come forward," they added."
"The Clongriffin business shared footage of the break in and masked men opening up the till and stealing cash. "We were robbed last night & we have now become bounty hunters, €1,000 reward per name of the lads in this video," they said. "We are a very small independent business, and robbing our truck is taking money from our kid's mouth.""
Six businesses reported burglaries in the early hours of December 2. Targets included food trucks, a Chinese restaurant, a coffee shop, and a beauty salon. Loading Bay in Tallaght shared CCTV of a break-in and said the incident left them in a "really tough situation." Goats Gruff at the Strawberry Beds reported a break-in, noted nobody was hurt, and said the area is well covered by CCTV with substantial footage. The Rolling Stoves and a Clongriffin food truck were also targeted, with masked men seen opening a till and stealing cash. Gardaí received burglary reports in Tallaght and Clongriffin and said enquiries are ongoing.
