He signed a last will on May 22, 2023, leaving an estate valued at €1,815,520, including almost 1,000 acres, to his wife Janice. The will named specific beneficiaries for houses, farms and equipment, appointed executors, and made provisions for his dog Teddy. An American resident on his lands was arrested and later released without charge; Michael Kelley denied knowledge of the murder.
