European Union leaders are gathering in Brussels to vote on whether to use nearly $200bn in frozen Russian assets to finance Ukraine for the next two years. The vote will occur in the coming hours as leaders decide legal and political feasibility. The proposed funds would come from assets frozen after Russia’s actions and aim to support Ukraine’s reconstruction and defense over a two-year period. Inside Ukraine, Russian forces conducted multiple attacks across the country. Those attacks injured dozens of people. Reported locations of injuries include Kryvyi Rih city and Zaporizhia, Cherkasy and Odesa regions.
