Status Yellow thunderstorm warning to come into effect for three counties as power outages possible

Localized flooding and difficult travelling conditions are expected in counties Cork, Kerry and Limerick, with a warning effective from 9am to 6pm. Temperatures will range from 18C to 24C, remaining dry initially across the country. Heavy showers and thunderstorms are predicted for Munster, south Leinster, and south Connacht later. While tomorrow will also experience sunny spells and potential thundery showers, the coming days are expected to be largely dry with temperatures near or above seasonal norms. Saturday may bring warmer temperatures with some scattered showers and light breezes.
Counties Cork, Kerry and Limerick may also be impacted by localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions. The warning will come into effect at 9am and remain in place until 6pm.
Highest temperatures of 18C to 24C are expected, with the rest of the country remaining dry to start the day. Showers over Munster, south Leinster and south Connacht could turn heavy at times.
There will be spells of sun and showers tomorrow, with heavy or thundery showers again likely - mostly across Munster and south Leinster. Highs of 18C to 22C are expected.
Met Éireann expected that coming days to have a 'good deal of dry weather, with temperatures falling back slightly but still continuing close to or above normal for the time of year.'
