"Officers with the Pasadena Police Department responded to a call for a man who was shot in the shoulder near the Metro Homestead Train Station by Sierra Madre Villa Avenue and Electronic Drive around 7:30 p.m. Upon arriving, officers located the suspect and pursued him on foot for about three blocks. The suspect and police exchanged gunfire, and the suspect was killed at the scene."

Police responded to a shooting call near Metro Homestead Train Station in Pasadena on Monday evening around 7:30 p.m. Officers located a suspect and pursued him on foot for approximately three blocks. During the pursuit, the suspect and police exchanged gunfire, resulting in the suspect's death at the scene. The initial shooting victim was transported to a hospital in stable condition. One officer was wounded and underwent surgery Monday night, with numerous on- and off-duty officers visiting the hospital to support his family. Robbery and homicide detectives responded to the incident, and investigators from the L.A. County district attorney's office were present to investigate the police shooting.
