Alexander Volkanovski will defend the vacant featherweight title against Diego Lopes in a rematch at UFC 325 on Jan. 31 in Sydney, Australia. Volkanovski reclaimed the title from Lopes at UFC 314 and now makes the first title defense of his second reign in front of a home crowd. Volkanovski seeks to reestablish the dominance he showed during his first title run after setbacks in failed lightweight bids and knockout losses to Islam Makhachev and Ilia Topuria. Volkanovski says he wants to make a clear statement to himself and to fans.
