"Larissa Pacheco couldn't resist taking a shot at Kayla Harrison. Responsible for the only defeat of the current UFC bantamweight champion in her 20-fight MMA career (19-1), Pacheco used her Instagram to taunt her former opponent with a carousel of six images and an ironic text. "The intern thought we should remember this day," Pacheco wrote. The post was made by the former Professional Fighters League champion 11 days before the fight between the champion and her current training partner, Amanda Nunes, on Jan. 24 in Las Vegas in the co-main event of UFC 324."
"In October of this year, Pacheco was released from her contract with the PFL and officially became a free agent, causing a natural buzz about her return to the UFC. However, in an interview with Sherdog.com at UFC Rio, Pacheco's manager, Alex Davis, stated that he did not believe his athlete could make the bantamweight limit. But the following week, Larissa said in an interview with the "Mundo da Luta" podcast that she could in fact make weight, making clear her interest in returning to the world's largest organization."
Larissa Pacheco posted a six-image Instagram carousel taunting Kayla Harrison and captioned it, "The intern thought we should remember this day." Pacheco handed Harrison the only defeat of Harrison's 20-fight MMA career. Pacheco was released from her PFL contract in October and became a free agent, prompting speculation about a UFC return. Her manager expressed doubts about her making bantamweight, but Pacheco later said she could make the limit and expressed interest in returning to the UFC. Pacheco previously fought in the UFC from 2014–2015 and was released after two defeats. A Harrison win over Amanda Nunes at UFC 324 would enhance Pacheco's case for return.
