Oktagon 74's Niamh Kinehan Explains Switch to MMA
Briefly

Niamh Kinehan, currently the WBC, WMO, and ISKA champion in Muay Thai, is moving to MMA, making her debut at Oktagon 74. Initially hesitant about MMA, Kinehan felt compelled to explore this new path after achieving her goals in Thai boxing. Having battled nearly all opponents in her division with a notable winning streak, she was running out of next challenges. Adapting to MMA has been difficult due to flexibility challenges, but she is excited for the changes and growth in her game.
"You know what, some people always said 'you should go into MMA' and I was like, nah... It's just, it's fell into place, it's felt nice and now I'm doing it."
"I didn't want to put like anything else in my head until I'd completed my first goal. My goal was to complete Thai boxing before I think about anything else, and that's what happened."
"Everything... I'm not flexible at all. And some of the positions you are in MMA, it's like, wow, how'd you get into them positions?"
