Fabian Edwards dismissed Dalton Rosta, labeling him a derogatory term and calling him a "juicehead wrestler." Edwards accused Rosta of relying on wrestling to neutralize fights and vowed to prevent a five-round clinch-and-grind encounter. Edwards alleged that Rosta is using or has used steroids and suggested a lie detector test to prove it, betting his purse on a failing result. Edwards cited recent World Tournament wins and expressed confidence that winning the tournament could lead to another title opportunity. Costello van Steenis recently claimed the middleweight title by defeating Johnny Eblen, altering the division landscape.
"Dalton, I don't think much of the kid. I really do think he's a bitch, because like I said, if I was to catch him outside, just me and him and no cameras around and all of that, I would really get into it," Edwards (15-4) told Cageside Press and other media outlets in attendance. "I know he wouldn't want that, I know he wouldn't want to get into it. It's not going to happen, so it is what it is."
"Of course he's on steroids. He's either on it or been on it, one of the two. One of the two. Get him to do a lie detector test, and say 'have you ever been on steroids in your life?' And 100% I'd bet my whole purse that he doesn't f*cking pass it. And that's it."
