Junior dos Santos started aggressively with leg kicks, but Robelis Despaigne answered with leg kicks of his own. A right hand over the top appeared to rock dos Santos, and dos Santos attempted a single-leg takedown, only to be thrown aside easily. Dos Santos then landed a shot that hurt Despaigne. Despaigne connected with a clean calf kick that spun dos Santos, while dos Santos stayed forward to land big strikes. Despaigne countered with a right hand and uppercut, then unleashed a flurry when dos Santos shot in. Dos Santos continued pressing and stayed active, but Despaigne’s attacks disrupted the pressure. A massive right hand finished the fight, resulting in a Round 1 KO at 2:01.
