Taira secured a takedown, transitioned to Moreno's back, and shifted from a body triangle to hooks before unleashing heavy ground-and-pound. The referee stopped the bout at 2:24 of round two while Moreno protested, and the TKO win marked Taira as the first fighter to finish Moreno. Taira called for a title shot after the victory.
