The matchup offers exposure to Lewis's large fanbase and helps Cortes-Acosta maintain activity, marking his sixth fight in 11 months after five fights in 2025. Cortes-Acosta reports consistent, intense training and long-time admiration for Lewis, recalling hopes of one day fighting him. The bout is scheduled for January 24.
