"That capped off a very long wait for Aspinall that he had hoped ended with a matchup against Jones. That wasn't to be so now he faces a former champion in Gane. Gane (13-2) became the interim champion when he beat Derrick Lewis at UFC 265. He lost that title when at UFC 270 when then heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou returned to action and unified the titles."

Aspinall and Gane held a presser in Paris hosted by Michael Bisping to announce tickets and answer media questions.
