Apple stopped making FineWoven cases due to reliability problems and is introducing TechWoven cases for the iPhone 17 lineup. TechWoven delivers a non-leather premium case option across all four iPhone 17 models with a variety of color choices. The cases use a dense, slightly textured weave to improve grip and aim to reduce wear, resisting glossing to maintain appearance after weeks of use. Buttons are metallic, sometimes contrasting in color. MagSafe and Camera Control remain supported. Two openings on the bottom edge allow attachment of shoulder straps or similar accessories.
Apple's FineWoven cases have been a disaster in terms of reliability and so the company had to stop making them, but hasn't given up entirely - in fact, it's going to try again for the iPhone 17 family with the now rebranded TechWoven cases. The idea is the same - have a premium case lineup that doesn't involve leather. The TechWoven cases will be available in a variety of colors, as shown in the images below.
