"The Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro launched last September, and in fact the entire T series was unveiled every year during that month like clockwork. This, however, is set to change in 2026, according to a new rumor out of China. Apparently, Xiaomi will be launching the 17T and 17T Pro a whopping four months earlier - so, most likely around May. If true, this would be a massive reshuffle of the company's overall launch schedule."
"According to the same source, the 17T will be powered by the Dimensity 8500 SoC, while the 17T Pro will go with the Dimensity 9500. Their batteries will also be bigger than what we've seen from the 15T and 15T Pro, while camera upgrades won't be very large. A previous leak claimed the 17T would have the exact same camera setup as the 15T, but would up the battery capacity to 6,500 mAh, with 67W charging."
Xiaomi appears to be shifting the T series launch earlier, targeting May 2026 for the 17T and 17T Pro instead of the usual September window. The 17T allegedly uses model number 2602DPT53G and codename Chagall, while the 17T Pro reportedly uses model number 2602EPTC0G and codename Warhol. Initial reports claim the 17T will use a Dimensity 8500 SoC and the 17T Pro a Dimensity 9500. Both phones are said to have larger batteries than the 15T models and only modest camera upgrades. Conflicting leaks about exact SoC and battery specs remain.
