"So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we'd call "indie," and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here's a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place."
"When I first got a 909 drum machine and heard how full the kick drum could be by itself, I got lost in that specific low end for a good few weeks. The studio where I write has some big big subs, so I would sit there for hours chasing the full sound of those drums. That was the starting point of this track."
A weekly roundup lists several new tracks and EPs across genres, spotlighting hip-hop, indie, electronic, and dub-influenced projects. Your Old Droog will release an EP titled Anything Is Possible, with Kenny Segal-produced closer "Bronny." Indie-rapper MAVI's mixtape The Pilot is out now and features a MIKE collaboration called "Triple Nickel." Gwenno issued a Utopia Remixes EP containing remixes by Quinquis, Stone Club, and Cornelius. Gilla Band guitarist Alan Duggan-Borges released The Null Club single "Overgrown" featuring Miss Grit, built around heavy 909 kick drum low-end and vocal textures. Adrian Sherwood, African Head Charge, and Speakers Corner Quartet released the Barbican Heights EP following The Collapse Of Everything.
