"Kids Table EP spans eight songs in total, including "Dyslexic Palindrome" and the July single " 1st World Blues," in which Bright Eyes go ska. Oberst, Mike Mogis, and Nate Walcott also opted to cover the 1980 Lucinda Williams' track "Sharp Cutting Wings (Song to a Poet)" for the upcoming EP. Bright Eyes are currently on tour in support of their recent album."
Bright Eyes will release Kids Table EP on September 26 via Dead Oceans as a soft accompaniment to last year's Five Dice, All Threes. The EP contains eight songs including 'Dyslexic Palindrome' featuring Alynda Segarra and July single '1st World Blues,' which adopts a ska style. The band covers Lucinda Williams' 1980 track 'Sharp Cutting Wings (Song to a Poet).' Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis, and Nate Walcott contributed to the recordings. Bright Eyes are touring in support of their recent album, with west coast dates this fall and upcoming concerts in Tokyo, Osaka, and Singapore.
