Cheap Trick Announce New Album All Washed Up, Share "Twelve Gates"

All Washed Up is Cheap Trick's 21st studio album, due November 14 via BMG and previewed by the lead single "Twelve Gates." The band co-produced the record with Julian Raymond, with mixing by Chris Lord Alge, and recorded throughout 2024 at studios in Nashville and Los Angeles. Pre-orders are available. Robin Zander described the release as "just one more great album from the best rock band in the world." The single offers optimistic lyrics, and bassist Tom Petersson called it one of his favorites. An eleven-track list and 2025 tour dates accompany the release.
Marking their 21st studio album, All Washed Up was co-produced by the band with Julian Raymond and mixed by Chris Lord Alge. It was recorded throughout 2024 at studios in Nashville (Sound Emporium Studios, Blackbird, Love Shack, Zen) and Los Angeles (Sweetzerland Studios). Pre-orders are ongoing.

Meanwhile, the upbeat "Twelve Gates" conveys an optimistic perspective with lyrics like, "Maybe, maybe a change of heart/ Maybe it's just a brand new start/ Can you feel it going 'round?/ A new taste coming, coming down."
'Our newest single release, 'Twelve Gates,' from the 2025 LP All Washed Up, is one of our best yet,' bassist Tom Petersson said about the single. 'I really love how this song came out. It's one of my favorites on the album.'
