The free Xicana Power Block Party takes place August 30, 2025 from 12–5 PM at EastSide Cultural Center, 2277 International Blvd, Oakland. The event honors the 55th anniversary of the Chicano Moratorium and welcomes all ages. Live Cumbia performances feature Discos Resacas with Las Mariposas del Alma, Deuce Eclipse, and La Gran Puchica. Vinyl sets will be spun by SHI SHI of Thee Homegirls of Soul and MC teatro will be presented by Los Espíritus Collective.
