""The record has this theme of liminality - not just as a place, but in your mind,""
""It's like being stuck in a doorframe or a long hallway that never ends.""
""There was a lot to write about this time around, but getting over that threshold definitely took some time,""
""We tend to write albums that have a conceptual arc to them, but you just sort of have to let the songs reveal themselves and figure out what that actually is. When I got the call that I was going to be a dad, I immediately knew what song I was going to write [closing track 'The Waters of Life']. It just felt right.""
Moments Before the Wind is Free Throw's sixth album, due March 27 via Wax Bodega, available for pre-order with a limited coke-bottle clear vinyl variant. The album centers on the theme of liminality and personal thresholds, reflecting states of being stuck or between places. Brett Romnes produced the record. Two singles are out: 'Mike Nolan's Long Weekend' (featuring Dom Fox) and 'Hero's Grave,' which arrives with a video. A tour accompanies the release with Macseal, TRSH, and Wakelee, including a May 8 show at Webster Hall in New York City. A full tracklist is provided.
