Foreigner is preparing a 50th anniversary celebration with a live album titled In the Eye of the Storm, released July 24. The album is positioned as the official soundtrack to a concert film filmed at Ellis Island and Brooklyn’s DUMBO House. The release includes newly released music featuring Gramm, Kelly Hansen, and Luis Maldonado, bringing three generations of frontmen together for the first time. A newly recorded live version of “Feels Like the First Time” is included, debuting alongside anniversary concert film footage earlier in the spring. The Ellis Island performance was nearly canceled due to severe rain, thunder, and lightning, but the band proceeded and delivered a standout show. A theatrical concert film produced by Vertigo Live Productions is scheduled for worldwide release later this summer, alongside signed vinyl and CD editions available through a TalkShopLive livestream event.
