Birdie Simpson dressed as her mother for school spirit week, wearing oversized rings, denim cutoffs, sparkly silver cowboy boots and a T-shirt with Simpson's face from the Sweet Kisses album. Simpson photographed Birdie singing into a microphone with a high ponytail. Simpson praised Birdie's vocal power and noted her youngest can really belt songs. Simpson shares three children with Eric Johnson and announced their separation after ten years of marriage. Simpson returned to music after a 15-year break with the country-inspired Nashville Canyon EP in 2025 and described creating the album as healing amid heartbreak.
