"very generously put me in their hall of fame before I'd even performed there,"
"So these are kind of my first two proper solo shows"
"I'm slowly working my way towards earning my induction."
"Now is a time when we need to remind people that the arts are a reminder of our humanity - and that we're losing who we are in this divisive climate."
Josh Groban will perform two solo concerts at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, framing the dates as a form of repayment to the venue after an early hall of fame induction. Groban received the Bowl's recognition in 2009 and later appeared in the Fourth of July fireworks program, and he considers the upcoming shows his first full solo presentations there. Groban's career spans pop, Broadway and classical repertoire, including a 2001 debut produced by David Foster, a recent Broadway Sweeney Todd, a career retrospective titled Gems, and a Las Vegas residency. The Find Your Light Foundation will hold a benefit gala to raise funds for arts education amid concerns about federal spending cuts and the need to preserve the arts as a civic reminder of shared humanity.
