Justin Bieber surprised fans by releasing his album simultaneously with Clipse's reunion project, Let God Sort Em Out. Fashion designer Kerwin Frost shared a post on Instagram siding with Bieber and criticizing Clipse's music and fans. He expressed admiration for Bieber's new album, stating it was superior to Clipse's. In contrast, Kiana Fitzgerald reviewed both albums, giving Clipse's project an A- for its maturity, while Justin's received a C+ for being overly commercial. Clipse is set to begin their first US tour in 16 years, with tickets available for purchase.
"Justice is served," wrote Kerwin Frost, a fashion designer who first gained attention due to his interviews with celebrities including Tyler, the Creator, SZA, and Post Malone. "[Justin Bieber] emptied the clip."
"This is the only album that matters right now," Frost continued. "This album is way better than the Clipse. Clipse is for bitter grown men who collect KAWS dolls and shop at Kith and Union."
From a Consequence perspective, Clipse dropped the better album. Read features writer Kiana Fitzgerald's A- review of Let God Sort Em Out, where she praises the duo for 'setting a top-notch example of what it means to age gracefully into your craft.'
Meanwhile, SWAG received a C+ from Fitzgerald for coming across as a 'shallow, commercialized version' of the lo-fi, stripped-down sound of collaborators including Mk.gee and Dijon.
