Miley Cyrus Confirms Engagement to Maxx Morando
"I think it's also being older, being more protective of what I'm open to sharing,"
"Well, it was blind for me and not really for him,"
"I thought, 'The worst that can happen is I leave.'"
"I ended up with a person who means a lot to me and treats me really well and respects me,"
Miley Cyrus confirmed her engagement to Maxx Morando, her partner of four years. She showed a Jacquie Aiche-designed diamond ring on her left hand at the December 2 premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash. Cyrus contributed a new song for the film, "Dream As One," co-written with Andrew Wyatt and Mark Ronson. Cyrus said she was "astounded" by the privacy she maintained and attributed that to being older and more protective about what she shares. Morando's father posted congratulatory Instagram photos including a close-up of the ring. The couple met on a blind date, dated since summer 2021, and were first seen publicly in April 2022. Cyrus described finding a partner who treats and respects her and said she learned healthier relationship patterns over time.
