Nine Inch Nails won Best Rock Song at the 2026 Grammy Awards for "As Alive As You Need Me to Be," from the Tron: Ares soundtrack, marking the industrial band's first Grammy win in 30 years. Trent Reznor and company were not on hand to accept the award when it was announced during the Premiere Ceremony. The win follows previous Grammys for live performances: "Happiness in Slavery" (Best Metal Performance, 1996) and "Wish" (Best Metal Performance, 1993), bringing the band's total to three. NIN had nine nominations since 1996 before this victory. The band begins a new leg of the "Peel It Back" tour this Thursday.
