Primus Announce New Year's Eve Shows Celebrating First Year with New Drummer

Primus will play two New Year's Eve concerts at the Fox Theater in Oakland on December 30 and 31 commemorating their first year with drummer John Hoffman. Puddles Pity Party will support the December 31 performance. An artist pre-sale begins Thursday, August 21 at 10 a.m. PT, followed by a general on-sale via Ticketmaster on Friday, August 22 at 10 a.m. PT. The band will present completely unique sets on each night. Hoffman was chosen in February from 6,200 submissions after Tim "Herb" Alexander's departure and has toured with Primus throughout 2025.
Primus have announced a pair of New Year's Eve shows celebrating their first year with new drummer John Hoffman. The two concerts will take place December 30th and 31st at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California, with Puddles Pity Party on-hand to support the second night.
An artist pre-sale begins Thursday (August 21st) at 10 a.m. PT, while a general on-sale starts Friday (August 22nd) at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster. Primus will perform completely unique sets on each night. Back in February, Hoffman was selected as Primus' new drummer among 6,200 submissions as part of an open call following the departure of longtime stickman Tim "Herb" Alexander. He has toured with Primus throughout 2025, including a recently completed summer US outing.
