Primus is preparing to start the “Claypool Gold” tour with The Claypool Lennon Delirium and Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, and has announced the EP A Handful of Nuggs, streaming now and releasing on vinyl July 22. The EP includes a new track tied to the still-untitled tenth album “The Ol’ Grizz,” a cover of Dio’s “Holy Diver” featuring Puddles Pity Party, the 2025 track “Little Lord Fentanyl” with Maynard James Keenan, and a live version of “Duchess (and the Proverbial Mind Spread)” recorded at TD Pavilion at The Mann in Philadelphia. Two limited vinyl variants are available for pre-order in the BV shop: gold splatter and black gold blend, each limited to 500 copies. Les Claypool also praised microtonal math rockers Angine de Poitrine. Primus shared 2026 tour dates across multiple U.S. cities.
