Blue Island is Ravyn Lenae’s third album, scheduled for release August 7 through Atlantic. The album was made with producer Dahi, following the collaboration on 2024’s Bird’s Eye. Ravyn Lenae describes the project as a point of arrival, with increased comfort in her identity and freedom from preconceived notions about Blackness. She aims to challenge expectations for R&B and pop sounds, choosing to do her own thing. The album includes previously released singles “Reputation” featuring Dominic Fike and “Bobby,” and she has shared the new single “Handle,” a sultry, rock-leaning track. She is also performing on the festival circuit in 2026, including Governors Ball in New York on June 6.
"“Blue Island” is a point of arrival, and feeling set in my ways and in who I am, and feeling free of any of those preconceived notions about Blackness or what I had to be in the past,” says Ravyn. “So I think now it's fun to challenge the idea of what R&B is supposed to sound like, what pop is supposed to sound like... and really say 'fuck all of that' and do my own thing.”"
