"Neal already asked, Cain said, and he says [Perry's] thinking about it. I hope he comes out. It's never too late. We've got 100 shows, so he's welcome at any one of them. While there is nothing definitive about this statement, Cain remains hopeful. He added, He didn't say no leave it at that. Perry was the lead singer of Journey during the band's peak success from 1978 through 1987 and later from 1995 to 1998."
"Filipino singer Arnel Pineda has served as the lead vocalist since 2007. Though the singer has recently been dealing with legal issues back home, Cain promised Pineda will be fine for the big tour, calling him a singing machine. Journey's final trek comes after there was confusion in October about Cain stepping away from the band to focus on his ministry work after a late-night tweet from Schon."
Neal Schon has asked Steve Perry about joining Journey for a guest appearance on one stop of the band's final tour, and Perry is considering the invitation. Journey plans roughly 60 North American shows from late this month through early July. Steve Perry fronted the band from 1978–1987 and 1995–1998 and released Seasons in 2021. Arnel Pineda has been lead vocalist since 2007 and is expected to perform despite recent legal issues. The touring lineup includes Schon, Jonathan Cain, Pineda, Jason Derlatka, Deen Castronovo, and Todd Jensen. Earlier confusion about Cain stepping away for ministry was later clarified and Cain will remain committed for the next couple of years.
