'They can't stop us' - Kneecap hit back at Scottish first minister after festival spot pulled
Briefly

The band was removed from the TRNSMT festival due to police concerns, following pressure from individuals like John Swinney who deemed their participation unacceptable. During their Glasgow gig, they addressed the cancellation and asserted their shows were focused on inclusion and love, contrary to claims of being hate-fests. Controversy arose from footage showing a band member with a Hezbollah flag, leading to charges against him. Attendance at their Glasgow show was high, with solidarity shown by pro-Palestine protesters outside the venue.
The band said the row around their axing from the festival had suggested their shows were "hate-fests" but said they were about inclusion and love.
Liam Ó hAnnaidh, who performs under the name Mo Chara, asked the crowd: "What's your First Minister's name?" before swearing and adding: "They stopped us playing TRNSMT but they can't stop us playing Glasgow."
