
"For the all-covers encore, the brought out Scrawl's Marcy Mays and Sue Harshe for The Velvet Underground's "We're Gonna Have A Real Good Time Together" and Paul Revere & The Raiders' "Kicks," and then the welcomed former SNL cast member Ana Gasteyer for "Dream A Little Dream Of Me" and "(There's) Always Something There to Remind Me." Marcy and Sue came back out for the last two songs of the night: "Tie A Yellow Ribbon 'Round the Ole Oak Tree" and holiday classic "Silver Bells.""
"For their headline set, Yo La Tengo welcomed Joe McGinty of Loser's Lounge, who joined them on keyboards for the the whole night, including on "Center of Gravity," "Let's Save Tony Orlando's House," "Apology Letter," "Artificial Heart," and their version of The Hondells' "Little Honda" to close out the main set. Night 3's mix CD was made by Ira, and all proceeds from the evening went to Afrikana and ROCC NYC (formerly Artists Athletes Activists)."
Yo La Tengo performed Night 3 of their 2025 Hanukkah run with Ohio indie vets Scrawl as surprise openers and comedian Gary Gulman delivering a holiday-themed set. Joe McGinty of Loser's Lounge joined on keyboards for the entire headline performance, appearing on songs including "Center of Gravity," "Let's Save Tony Orlando's House," "Apology Letter," "Artificial Heart," and a closing main-set cover of The Hondells' "Little Honda." The all-covers encore featured guest vocalists Marcy Mays, Sue Harshe, and Ana Gasteyer across Velvet Underground, Paul Revere & The Raiders, and classic standards. Night 3's mix CD was compiled by Ira and proceeds benefited Afrikana and ROCC NYC, with photos by Ellen Qbertplaya and setlist/video available.
