Two Brazilian nuns, Sisters Marizele Cassiano and Marisa de Paula, became internet sensations after a spontaneous beatbox and dance performance on a Catholic television program. During a discussion about a vocational retreat, they entertained viewers with their impromptu routine, which included singing and dance moves. The moment, which captured hearts and went viral, demonstrates the nuns' commitment to using music as a means to connect with and help young individuals struggling with issues such as drug addiction. Their vibrant approach has garnered social media attention, highlighting the unexpected ways faith and creativity can intersect.
That moment was very spontaneous, because with Sister Marisa, if you start a beat, she will dance. And I'm used to singing, to beatboxing, so for us it was very simple, spontaneous and at the same time very surprising to see that it went viral even outside Brazil.
Beatboxing, dancing, and the songs itself, are tools that God uses to reach the hearts of the people we work with. And it works! It's beautiful to see.
